How to connect your own domain to Picflow.
Updated over a week ago

Link your domain to Picflow in a few quick steps. Follow the instructions below to set up and test your domain name. You'll need to do this on the DNS control panel wherever you originally bought your domain name.

Setting Up a Subdomain

1. Enter Subdomain

In Picflow, go to your Branding Settings and enter your desired subdomain (e.g. gallery.yourwebsite.com, preview.yourwebsite.com etc.), then click continue.

2. Configure the Domain

Login to your domain registrar (wherever you initially registered your domain name) and access the DNS settings to add the following record:

β†’ Add a CNAME for www and point it to domains.picflow.com

3. Test Connection

Click on "Verify & Save" to test your connection. Don't worry if the verification does not work straight away. Depending on the registrar, it can take a few minutes or multiple hours.

Setting Up a Root Domain

We recommend using a subdomain if you already use it for your website or blog.

1. Enter Your Domain

In Picflow, go to your Branding Settings and enter your desired root domain (e.g. yourwebsite.com), then click continue.

2. Configure the Domain

Login to your domain registrar (wherever you initially registered your domain name) and access the DNS settings to add the following records:

β†’ Add a CNAME for www and point it to domains.picflow.com

β†’ Add an A Record for @ and point it to 37.16.3.92

β†’ Add an AAAA Record for @ and point it to 2a09:8280:1::1:3741

3. Test Connection

Click on "Verify & Save" to test your connection. Don't worry if the verification does not work straight away. Depending on the registrar, it can take a few minutes or multiple hours.

I don't have a Domain

If you have not purchased a domain, you can buy one from a 3rd-party domain provider such as GoDaddy, CloudFlare, Google Domains or other domain providers.

It doesn't work. Can you help?

If you've set up DNS per our instructions and already contacted your registrar, use the chatbox on the bottom right of the screen or email us at help@picflow.com, and we will get back to you ASAP to help you out.
